Ananya Sangeethotsava – 2023
Ananya GML Cultural Academy celebrated its annual music festival Ananya Sangeethotsava from May 10th to 13th 2023 with concerts at Ananya Sabhangana, Malleshwaram, Bangalore. The finale was conferring Ananya Awards, held on Sunday 14th May 2023, at Seva Sadan, Malleshwaram, Bangalore.
The festival was inaugurated on 10-5-2023. Chief Guests were Ananya Awardees Vidushi Dr R A Ramamani and Vidushi Dr T S Sathyavathi . It was followed by a Vocal recital by Vidushi Dr Mysore G Nagamani Srinath who was accompanied by Vid. Dr Jyothsna Srikanth on Violin, Vid. C Cheluvaraju on Mridanga, and Vid. T N Ramesh on Ghata.
Second day of the festival had a Flute recital by Vid.T R Srinath accompanied by Vid. Mathur R Srinidhi on Violin, Vid A Renuka Prasad on Mridanga and Vid. A S N Swamy on Khanjari. Sri Lakshmi Keshava, renowned educationalist was the chief guest.
Third day had a duet violin recital by Vid. K J Dilip and Vidushi Ila Sangeetha Dilip, accompanied by Vid. B C Manjunath on Mridanga and Vid. Pranav Dath on Morsing. Shri M Ananth, President, Thyagaraja Ganasabha Trust was the chief guest.
Fourth day of the festival was celebrated with a Vocal recital by Vid. Pavan Rangachar. He was accompanied by Vid. S P Ananthapadmanabha on Violin, Vid. Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma on Mridanga and Vid.Ranganatha Chakravarthy on Ghata. Ananya Awardee Vidushi M S Sheela was the chief guest.
All concerts were enjoyed by a full house of audience.
The finale of the festival was on the morning of Sunday , 14-5-2023 at Sevasadana, Malleshwaram, Bangalore. It started with a Vocal recital by Vid. Vivek Sadasivam, accompanied by Vid. Sindhu Suchethan on Violin and Vid. Akshay Anand on Mridanga. Awards were conferred by Chief Guest: Dr Balasubramaniam, President, Indiranagar Sangeetha Sabha in the august presence of Shri H N Suresh, President, Ananya. Vidushi Kalavathi Avadhooth spoke about all the awardees. This year’s awards were
“Lifetime Achievement Award” to Sangeetha Kalacharya Vidushi Dr Mysore G Nagamani Srinath
“Ananya Puraskara-2023” to Vid. Flute T.R Srinath
“Ananya Shastra Kaustubha-2023” (in memory of Sangeetha Kalarathna Late Sri B.V.K.Sastry ) was conferred on Dr.Vidya Rao.
“Ananya Yuva Puraskara-2023” in memory of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Late Vid. Alathur Srinivasa Iyer were conferred on Vid. Vivek Sadasivam (Vocal) and Vid. Sindhu Suchethan (Vocal & Violin)
The awards programme was immaculately conducted by Vid. Krithika Sreenivasan and Vid Mukund. Beautifully apt word of VIdushi Kalavathy about the awardees, Speeches of awardees filled with happiness, gratitude, short and valuable words of guests were the the highlights of the awards function. The audience were left with an awesome feeling for having witnessed cherishable moments.

Ananya Nruthyollasa – 80
Any evening spent at Seva Sadan for events organized by Ananya are well-spent and is a treat to the soul. Ananya Nruthyollasa – 80 that happened on May 30th , was no different. Four different artistes, each with their unique style gave a lovely presentation to the audience. Years spent training and practicing under extremely gifted Gurus was evident in each of their performances. Apoorva Pradeep, student of Vid. Soundarya Srivatsa, Kshamitha R Sastry, disciple of Vid. Mysore B Nagraj, Vidya Pradeep, student of Dr. Neena Prasad and Swati K disciple of Guru Poornima Gururaja – each of them presented their Gurus choreographies with extreme ease and confidence. Ananya wishes them all the best in all their future endeavors.
